I just finished the update on two Debian Etch servers as well. Everything went fine. Thanks for this new version!
I was worried for a second because it just stopped at **INSTALLATION for about 5 minutes with no further information, and not even ps aux showed any activity from it. But turned out everything is okey, it works like a charm, thank you (I was really troubled if it is going to work, after 2.2.25 had a bug of some sort which interrupted the update with a missing lib and had to reinstall the whole ispconfig after finding the lib It was on lenny btw, im using etch now)
Hi guys... am glad to see a new release for ispconfig... just one question though, does this release address the case wherein a single user update (like password change) would make ispconfig run through the entire user listing?
Firs, ISPConfig does never go trough all users, it just goes trough the users of that site. This behaviour has not been changed and will most likely not been changed in ISPCOnfig 2. If you need this, you will have to switch to ispconfig 3.
No, because I haven't been able to reproduce this, no matter if on i386 or x86_64 systems. I've asked Norman what processor he's using, but got no answer...
Update from 2.2.25 done without problems on Debian Etch x64 (except little problem in czech translation - sentences Traffic-Überschreitung: in web Basis: and Log-Grösse: in web Optionen stayng not translated, it should be fixed only by importing old doctype table from 2.2.25, same thing happened when updated from 2.2.24 to 2.2.25, probably caused by german characters Ü & ö )

Do not import doctypes from older versions. This may cause loss of data in your setup. For example the customer databases can get deleted when you import a older doctype. If a string is not translated, then add it to the language file.
I'm awared of this, but doctype hasn't changed since 2.2.23, i'm i right? Translation is allready in language file, so problem is somewhere else...
Does anyone have a quad-core Xeon for us so that we can test this? I think a vm on a quad-core Xeon (OpenVZ, Xen, VMware) will do, too.
i'm running on dual quadcore with no problem (but it is machine from 03/2008) have vmware installed if you want to test something
That would be great! Maybe you can set up an empty VM for me (maybe OpenSUSE 11 because the problem was reported for OpenSUSE, but I guess any other distro will do as well) and PM me the login details?
I got exactly the same problem on a Ubuntu 8.04 LTS box running 2 x 933Mhz Pentium III CPU's on an Abit VP6 Mobo. Tried a complete reinstall of the OS but couldn't fix it, even tried going back to an earlier version of GCC. In the end I installed fedora 9 and it worked fine!
