I have noticed that when i add a new site within ISPConfig 2.2.3 that in filefolder /etc/apache2/vhosts no new vhost files are added. Only Vhosts_ispconfig.conf and Vhosts_ispconfig.conf~ are there and the vhost files before ISPConfig 2.2.3. Does anyone know how i can solve this problem? Hans
ISPConfig does not need and use the vhosts folder from apache2, it uses its own config file Vhosts_ispconfig.conf.
About Vhosts Till, Thanks for your reply, but i do not understand... If so, why do i have a lot of vhosts in folder /etc/apache2/vhosts/ ? like: Vhosts_ispconfig.conf_25-04-06_19-40-45 Vhosts_ispconfig.conf_25-04-06_19-43-09 Vhosts_ispconfig.conf_25-04-06_19-47-52 Vhosts_ispconfig.conf_25-04-06_19-48-04 And why does ISPConfig do not make a copy anymore of the last version before creating the new Vhost file ? Hans
Sorry, I misread you post. What I meant is that ISPConfig does not uses the default vhost folders from the linux distribution To your problem: ISPConfig creates a copy of the Vhosts_ispconfig.conf with a date appended if an error occurs and the apache server can not be restarted with the new config. This means all Vhosts_ispconfig.conf_25-04-06_19* files are faulty. If you change anything now and no new copy is created, everything is working fine.
