Hi Till, Within ISPConfig 3.0.2, i created a Fetchmail account. After fetching the e-mails from an IMAP server succesfuly, i made the Fetchmail account non-active and after that i deleted it, because i did not need it anymore. Then it happened that i received 3 emails from MONIT which is installed on the server as well: Description: 'amavisd' failed protocol username [SMTP] at INET[localhost:10024] via TCP I think this is not normal and my question is can you reproduce that as well? Another reason can be that the > 500 mails i fetched caused an overload. Can i avoid this when i use Fetchmail?
I'am not able to reproduce this. Amavis is not related to getmail configuration in ispconfig and deleting a job in getmail does not affect amavisd. All emails are put in the queue of postfix like all other incoming emails and not send from getmail to amavisd directly. If amavisd is not able to handle the amount of incoming emails on your system, then you should set the number of amavisd threads to a higher number in the amavisd configuration file.
