It is the first time i use ispconfig and i have a question for all you experts. in order to have my clients and their websites in a tree like below e.g. for the client with username johnyp and his domain softgr.com /var/www/clients/johnyp/htdocs/domains/softgr.com/ what should i put in fields Website path and Website symlinks to achieve this? Also were is a good advice to save the symlinks? Thank you in advance.
Hello, /var/www/clients/johnyp/htdocs/domains/softgr.com/ I think you could use: /var/www/clients/client[client_id]/htdocs/domains/web[website_id] Try different configurations on a test machine, eg. vmware box before putting live. However, you need to ask yourself exactly why you want that kind of configuration, ie adding 2 extra folder names to the config? If it is because you are migrating from another control panel into ispconfig, I would suggest you don't try to make ispconfig fit your current layout, rather treat each site individually and migrate into new ispconfig structure.
