    Hello!
I just setup an Mailbox with his own domain for a friend.
Everything works perfect, eMails don't go to Spam when sent to Gmail.

But when he wants to use the autoresponder the mails get directly to spam.
The reason is that they get sent over server.mydomain.pw instead of his mail [email protected]

Is there a way to fix it?

The MX for hisdomain.com should match your server.

    Thanks for your Message.
For the records i made it like this:
    A: @ 83.xxx.xx.xxx
    A: * 83.xxx.xx.xxx
    A: mail 178.xx.xx.xx
    MX: mail.hisdomain.com

Had to make it like this cause he has a shop hosted somewhere else and they need the a record.
So i just made one for mail.hisdomain.com to my server with the MX Record pointing to it.

It works fine with receiving and sending mails from the mailbox. Just the autoresponder sends from server.mydomain.pw (my hostname)

I believe the autoresponder in use depends on what mail system you have, courier or dovecot. I only have dovecot to reference but there the autoresponder is implemented via the sieve vacation message; I just checked an autoresponse message I received from a client's account this morning, and the From: address is set correctly to their address though the smtp envelope sender is null (from=<>). A null sender is always valid by rfc, so I'd guess the issue is your From: address. This server is running dovecot-sieve 1:2.2.13-12~deb8u1.
