I have successfully installed ISPConfig 3, but I just don't know how it works.

In comparison with ISPConfig 2, it is a bit hard to understand.
Like how do I setup resellers and hostingplans?

Limits don't seem to work as well as FTP users.
When I add a FTP user, I just can't login with it.

Also, how do you visit websites without a domain?

Is there a manual or something for ISPConfig 3?

    Kind Regards,
    Thomas

There are very good installation manuals for ispconfig 3 available. These manuals instruct you to install pure-ftpd and not proftpd, so the conclusion is that proftpd is not supported by ispconfig 3.

ISPConfig 3 supports ip based and namebased vhosts. as long as you have enough ip addresses you can access the sites by ip, but you will have to assign them at least some temorary or subdomain.

    Ok, well no problem.

I'll just downgrade to ISPConfig 2 for now ;)
Will there be an update for ISPConfig 2 to ISPconfig 3 in the future?

    Kind Regards,
    Thomas

No, there will be no update option as there can be no update option. ISPConfig 2 nd 3 need different and incompatoble system configuration and architectures.
