Hi All, As ispconfig 3 stores mysql based user passwords rather than /etc/shadow what is the security provided compared to shadow files? Please explain and please advice what is the best way to secure mysql when storing user information such as usernames and passwords? Thanks in advance. Thanks Teddy
ISPconfig uses crypt-md5 password with salt and the system is already setup to be secure. If you dont want to have passwords in mysql, the use ispconfig 2 and not 3.
