    Hi,
I think ISP C3 needs a new folder structure. As if you had multiple sites you would have to create an FTP account for each one. So every users should have there own folder e.g /srv/www/user/site.com

I also think the idea of sub users for each site should be scrapped. There should just be a tab for FTP, EMAIL, SSH.

You could also add a user quota for there folder, still keep the site qouta aswell.

Also a button to create a new site/ add domain for the user would be good, so you could give a user 10 domains sharing the users space quota

    Thanks,
    Alex

I'am not sure if its a good idea to change the site layout.

You can not have this type of quota as it is not supported by linux to have hierachical quotas at all.

The problem with having all sites below a user directory is that you can not prevent them from accessing each other because they are owned by the same user. If a custopmer has 3 websites and one gets hacked, most probably all other sites get hacked too. Thats why most large webhosters separate sites as ISPConfig does it.

Ok, i think it would be better then to have a quota for the user and not the sites instead. Also a traffic limit for the user instead of the site.

I still think this would be more usefull to have all sites under a user directory. If the sites gets hacked its most likley the users fault for poor security. And i am an admin on a forum with a very large web host which has over one hundread thousand users and has each site is under there user directory

I think this would make it easier for the users and the security is not mcuh of an issue unless there something i cant think off
