    Hi,

I am building a free hosting service based on ISPConfig and its remoting framework which I plan is going to serve thousand of websites per box and for which I am writing and entirely new php front-end from scratch, which will substitute ISPConfig's own panel (sorry guys, but I think that this is the only big problem of ISPconfig, I mean its GUI panel begin uncomfortable for end users).

Since I had to mod ISPconfig to add fast-cgi e some other features, I am now worried that the whole system will not be able to scale to the big figures I have in mind.
So, do any of you have experience with a ISPconfig systems handling thousand of websites? Do you have any advice on this?

The limit will be your hardware and not ispconfig. For ispconfig 3 this should be no problem and it supports also fcgi out of the box. In ispconfig 2 this might work too but ispconfig 3 will be ebetter suited.
