    Hello everybody!

i have been testing ISPconfig v3 for past few days, and the control panel looks really nice and simpel. I have been thinking lately to try something new on some of my new shared hosting servers, and i wanted to try an open source control panel instead of the classic Cpanel, directadmin and so on.

but to get to the question: Is ISPconfig v3 ready for hosting clients on a shared hosting environment or not? and do any of you guys have any experiance with ISPconfig for use as shared hosting control panel?

based on my personal experience, no ispconfig is not ready yet for primetime. No doubt it is simple and easy to use but compared to cpanel, it lacks a lot of features and things for selling as a control panel bundle hosting.

If all the management will be done by you then it is fine cause you can always use ssh to do things that ispconfig can't.

But hey, perhaps you are daring enough to give it a try. Then go ahead. I mean, cpanel started off with a lot of problems as well.

I'm not sure I agree, ispconfig3 does exactly what it says on the tin... And more. I suggest you create yourself a client and use that for a bit to see exactly what they get. If your clients are more specialist, then give them ssh access; they can be chrooted. Still, personal preference respected.
