we have 3 nodes with a lot of memory.
we want to install proxmox with zfs raidz2.
on top of that ispconfig will be our master piece : so must we install ou ispconfig node in vm or ct (kvm or lxc) ?

one more question : can ispconfig use ldap for his user database ?
can we use openldap or not ?

    KVM works.

I've used both lxc and kvm on proxmox, and would definitely go kvm. It's much more secure with less hassle and some better features like live migrations/failover (there are of course pros and cons of both).
