I screwed up during the install and set my host name to my full domain name instead of just www. How do I change this? Yes I searched and did not find anything related.
Within ISPConfig go to > Management > Server > Settings > Server and redefine the hostname field within www.
Thanks you i am currently waiting on dns for the domai name to propagate. SHouldnt I also be able to connect through the internal IP?
When you're within your LAN, you can visit your ISPConfig website with: http(s)://internal-ipaddress:81 within your browser. When you're outside your LAN and your server is behind a router, you should use: http(s)://external-ipaddress:81 within your browser. Make sure that you've set portforwarding (port 81) correctly.
ok I tried connecting using the internal ip and got a "Could not establish an encrypted connection because the certificate presented by 192.168.1.101 has an invalid signature." as for external ip I dont know what the deal with my router is. One minute i can connect to the server using internal external and domain name the next minute I cant. I'll wan you know im a complete noob. Took me a full day just to get the server installed and setup. The router I use http://www.networkeverywhere.com/products/nr041.asp I have all the required ports forwarded to the server internal ip. Oh yea i used this tutorial http://www.howtoforge.com/centos-5.1-server-lamp-email-dns-ftp-ispconfig to set up the server. Just you know the steps i have taken and what i have done.
Please recreate the ISPConfig certificate as shown here: http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121 Please accept the default values during the certificate creation instead of entering your own values.
