Hi, I was wondering do you need root access on the source server to use the migration tool ? I have ssh access on the server but not root access. I want to migrate from a reseller account in plesk (shared hosting) to a new vps with Ispconfig.
Hi, yes, the tool requires root access. I fear you will not be able to use it with a reseller plesk account.
Ok thanks. Maybe rent a vps for a short period with plesk , and use backup & restore in plesk and then use the migration tool. Or manual ( for site's stil ok) but mail and passwords etc more difficult.
