    Hello all

I seem to be having an issue with the ispconfig migration tool.

I'm at the point where it is asking for the new IP for the websites.
    Code:
Web mydomain.tld has ip 192.168.1.201 set.
Which ip do you want to use on the target? (*, 192.168.1.153):
If I simply type the new IP I get the following error.
    Code:
Please provide an answer or enter 'quit' to abort at any time.
Which ip do you want to use on the target? (*, 192.168.1.153):
It seems that the migration tool is forcing me to use a specific IP and it won't let me define this. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figure it out, and the documentation doesn't cover this.

I'm using the latest version of the migration tool

    Source server:
    Linux mx 4.9.0-13-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.228-1 (2020-07-05) x86_64 GNU/Linux (stretch)
    Target server:
    Linux mx 4.19.0-9-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.19.118-2+deb10u1 (2020-06-07) x86_64 GNU/Linux (buster)
    ISPConfig 3.1.15p3 on both machines

    Regards

    Fred

You can choose IP addresses only that exist in the new system. Did you add the new IP under System > Server IP on the new system before you started?

I made the mistake to have it * and picked up all of them, internal 10.* address and the true 207.* IP..

Once you remove all but the true one should work fine. I think your host.server.tld should 1 default domain and have the IP assigned to * in case someone types some random domain that you don't have a vhost for but you have your dns posted to so you have a default page including the SSL.

My Issue was that all my domains I had to go and re-create SSL/Let's Encrypt SSL for each and one of them.. not sure there's a work around for that.

I am also looking for ISPConfig 3.2 to take advantage of Let's Encrypt and issue a SSL Cert for default page, postfix and ftp as well.

    Thanks,

There is no need for that, the tool copies all le certs over and they start working seamlessly.
