Hi, I have run an ispconfig server in hppa hardware for over 10 years. Lately I’ve been compiling updates from buster to keep it secure. Since bullseye is not yet supported and I assume Sid also isn’t. I’ve got a snap shot of bullseye packages to start as a base. Not all are in the repo. Is there any chance you can let me know what packages that are unique to bullseye that will be needed when the fix for ispconfig is done.
Your best bet is to watch for the perfect server guide when it is out, it will list the packages to be installed from a base system.
Sid is the Debian unstable distribution. Nothing works there. You can try installing to see what happens.
You basically have three options: Just try it (for example in a virtual machine) Look up the versions of the software in your favorite system, look up the "breaking changes" published by the developers for updates between the supported version and the new one and adept your config files accordingly Wait until ISCP developers have done that and provide a new "perfect server" tutorial. It depends on what software you need. My guess is that everything might just work (maybe with small adjustments to the config files). I operate ISPC with some packages from Debian unstable and as long as you know what you are doing and how they work it is no problem.
