Just 2 questions... 1. PostgreSQL will not be added automatically by the update...any HowTo to add it after an upgraded Installation? 2. And...why are the CLI-Configs not added autmatically? I thought, cli is installed by default, so, an upgrade to 3.3 should have added these lines by design: /usr/bin/php5.6 php5_6 ...
Most users won't need or use this feature, so it doesn't make much sense to install a heavy database server that does not gets used by default. And as an ISPConfig update does not install software anyway, it just configures installed software, this software is not installed. https://forum.howtoforge.com/threads/postgres-configuration-with-3-3-0b1.94091/ Because the updater does not has this info. We do not have PHP-CLI paths in the system, and the updater does not know if and where you have PHP-CLI for a specific version installed, and if you want to use this feature at all, as it might break existing sites by changing the PHP version of the site.
Is there any new paths for PHP? For the moment I have this cfg: Chroot app section: Chrooted applications: cron chrooted applications:
@variable99, the question in this thread is not about the settings you mentioned. It's about the new optional settings for PHP CLI in additional PHP versions. Which you have to fill in if you want to use that feature.
Ouch, and I have a lot of PHP versions :O thanks! Is there any other settings that should be filled manually after upgrade?
No. If you want to use that feature, then you must fill in these two new fields for each PHP version.
postgresql is a very high end database server. If you have not used it, just do not install it. I personally know how to install, maintain and back it up; but most developers still use mysql.
