Ispconfig /var/vmail symbolic link

Discussion in 'General' started by servidoresadmin.com, Jun 6, 2014.

  1. Hello,

We have a small disk and we do a symbolic link to another disk mounted on /directory of the /var/vmail directory and permisions created from ispconfig are wrong when you create a new mailbox:

.Drafts | .Junk | .Sent | .Trash dirs have root as owner and it have to be vmail

Then you receive errors on roundcube when have to delete a mail or send a new mail because permisions are wrong.

You have to put vmail as owner manually to run fine on .Drafts | .Junk | .Sent | .Trash dirs.

This is a bug of ispconfig?

    There's any solution?

    Thanks,

Thats no bug. You can not use symbolic links for /var/vmail and /var/www. You have to use a bind mount when you want to relocate one of these folders.
