    Hello,
Wanted to know how to make ispconfig start automatically (this is probably default setting), but for some reasons I am not able to access ispconfig without first restarting ispconfig by issuing this command line "/etc/init.d/ispconfig_server restart".

My ipsconfig on Debian 4 has performed just fine other than that of issuing restart command line before I am able to access thru https://*:81.

Did I missed something during installation? I think not but then again I am new to ISPConfig.

I will appreciate very much your input regarding this issue.

    Many thanks.

Are you asked for a password when you run:

    /etc/init.d/ispconfig_server restart

    ?

    Hi Till,
Thanks for responding. Yes it does prompt me with pass phrase request as follow:
    Server www.mydomain.net:81 (RSA)
    Enter pass phrase:*************

Just to clarify, this restart process only required after I reboot my VPS.

Is this normal procedure of ISPConfig?

    Thanks again.

NB: Btw, I was checking out 42goISP Manager 2.0 and noticed the similarity of the UI as that of ISPConfig, but I'll have to do more reading on it. What are the major difference on these two systems?

As I know its normal , RSA wants phrase because you rebooted machine, but at the installlation procedure you dont must to choose RSA password protection, you can use cert insted.

42go is the same as ispconfig but it is supported by ispconfig/42go developers , for small fee you get support

You accidently encrypted your SSL certificates during installation. To fix this, create new certs as described here:

42go is the ancestor of ISPConfig. 42go is not available anymore for new customers, we offer just legacy support.
