Does these emails stay in the mailqueue, or do they get delivered step by step so that the total count of mails in the queue decreases?
All mails are sent, after that the mailq is empty. I think there are many, I had not registered that there were so many on my other servers. For example Oct 17 10:39:09 mail postfix/smtp[8746]: 0ED1817B7C: to=<[email protected]>, relay=127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]:10026, conn_use=56, delay=60, delays=0.1/59/0/0.85, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (250 2.0.0 from MTA(smtp:[127.0.0.1]:10027): 250 2.0.0 Ok: queued as 0537717B51) Oct 17 10:39:09 mail postfix/qmgr[8745]: 0ED1817B7C: removed Oct 17 10:39:09 mail postfix/local[8782]: 0537717B51: to=<[email protected]>, relay=local, delay=0.13, delays=0.05/0/0/0.09, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (delivered to command: /usr/lib/mailman/mail/mailman owner mailman) Oct 17 10:39:09 mail postfix/qmgr[8745]: 0537717B51: removed Thanks Nestor Mazza

Let me add the following I received 2536 messages in my email box with, after that Icleanned the mailq. From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: Mailman post from [email protected] requires approva Message: As list administrator, your authorization is requested for the following mailing list posting: List: [email protected] From: [email protected] Subject: Cron <mailman@mail> /usr/lib/mailman/cron/gate_news Reason: Post by non-member to a members-only list At your convenience, visit: http://localhost.localdomain/mailman/admindb/mailman to approve or deny the request. Any Idea to solve this situation, because mailman is stopped again until know solve this. Thanks Nestor Mazza
These mails are requests from mailman for an approval of a new member as far as I see, did you check if there are new registrations to the list? maybe you really have registrations (which can be from spam bots etc)? If you have registrations, then these messages are ok and you should check why you get so many signups.
