    Hello ISPConfig3 Experts,
These days, I tried to register a new user account on Twitter or X but I can never receive their new user confirmation letter.

Then, I investigate my ISPConfig3 logs and I discover the culprit. The new Twitter user confirmation letter is rejected by ISPConfig3 as shown. Here in this example, my new Twitter user registration email address is [email protected]
Please suggest a way to allow Twitter or X inbound emails. Thanks for your help.

well.. there's no A/AAAA record for spruce-goose-al.x.com, which may not help.
but the PTR record for their mailserver ip is spruce-goose-al.twitter.com, not spruce-goose-al.x.com

so the obvious answer would be to tell x/twitter to fix their PTR records. good luck with that one.

alternatively you could try removing reject_invalid_helo_hostname or reject_unknown_helo_hostname from the smtpd_helo_restrictions line in /etc/postfix/main.cf... wouldn't recommend that though unless you want to start dealing with a lot more spam servers..

I second this. Don't do it.

They will most likely figure this out on their own soon. So just try again later or hope that the mail is routed through a different outbound gateway that is configured properly on their side.

:-D Do you think the stupidity rubs off?

Many larger companies do not adhere to standards in IT and respond with great arrogance when this is pointed out to them.
