    Hello,
I have a question related to using the "john" command in Linux. When I try to use that command it shows up as bash command not found. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the package but it still did not work. This is for a lab simulation on Tryhackme.com so it is a web based Kali-Linux that I am using. What should I do?

I don't use kali to know what you're likely using, but in some shells you have to run hash or rehash or similar for the shell to recognize changes in commands. (Or just logout and login again)

Otherwise it probably just installed to a location that's not in your path. Maybe see how to list the installed contents of that package, so you can tell where that would be.
