On Ubuntu 12.10 I can put my joomla on /var/www/ by doing this when I go to http://localhost I can see my joomla I dont want on ubuntu 14.0.4 like this https://localhost/joomla I am stumble to understand about /var/www/html can you please tell me how to install directly to root no after directory Thanks
Ubuntu 14.04 uses Apache 2.4 which have different DocumentRoot than older versions. You can change the default DocumentRoot path in the httpd.conf file
