hello everyone! just setup proftpd on Mandrake 10 and from a Win2k workstation I get error 500 message. on the drakebox when trying to do "ftp localhost" i get: Connected to localhost. 220 ProFTPD 1.2.9 Server (ProFTPD Default Installation) [localjeff] 500 AUTH not understood 500 AUTH not understood KERBEROS_V4 rejected as an authentication type from the Win2K box at my sisters house it asks for a username and password so I know the router firewall is forwarding the request. doesn't even work from a machine on my LAN. not sure how to fix this problem. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Also, I am using Webmin to configure the server thank you jeff
