If the server is on a Amazon Instance, the Lets Encrypt will not renew the certificates automatically. I have to manually open ISPCONFIG, remove LE from the website and then apply it again..

Any ideas what might be the cause? I figure because LE is trying to use the PRIVATE IP and not the PUBLIC IP to try to renew the certificate? Is there any docs on any special care that needs to be taken care of when installing ISPCONFIG on behind a PROXY?

you can disable the le-check in the server-config.
