    Hey,

    little question:

can i use the lets encrypt certificate what i created for my domain.tld for ftp tls and mail tls instead of the self signed? The "certificate is not Trustworthy" warning annoys me.

    Best regards

Okay - the cert is created for domain.tld but my host system is on hostname srv01.domain.tld - will it also work?

it will provide hostname mismatch error.

    Can this be prevented?

by providing a cert with the actual hostname in it.

ssl certs are based on domain names, not ips.

An ssl mismatch of a letsencrypt cert is not different from an ssl mismatch of any other ssl cert.
