Hi, I already installed livepatch on my server. See screenshot below: But when I an apt upgrade command, Ubuntu is showing this: I thought that there would be few reboots when we install livepatch. Is this normal that we need to reboot every time a new kernel is upgraded?
The purpose of livepatch as I understand is to avoid unplanned reboots. It does not turn the running kernel to a new kernel version. If you run uname -a after livepatch it still shows the old version. To get to the new kernel version a reboot is needed, but you can do the reboot at a time of your choosing.
