I am now using Debian Lenny ISPConfig 2
    I have 3 computers networked.
    One is the server. 192.168.1.100
http://bingftp.com:81 brings up my ispconfig login screen on my LAN.
    BUT on my 198.168.1.7 computer
    http://localhost or http://127.0.0.1 brings up
http://localhost/es_home.htm which is WinTV Program Guide from Hauppauge

    AND on my 192.168.1.2 computer
localhost brings up "page not found"

My /etc/hosts and /etc/network/interfaces files are as they should be per the
Howtoforge Debian Lenny ISPConfig 2 setup guide.

    What to do?

What exactly is the problem? Is it that when you call http://localhost in a browser, you don't get pages from the 192.168.1.100 server?

I have 2 other computers in my network besides the server
    Server is 192.168.1.100
    and 2 others
    192.168.1.2
    and
    192.168.1.7

typing http://localhost on 192.168.1.2 gives "page not found"

typing http://localhost on 192.168.1.7 redirects to http://localhost/es_home.htm which is a TV program guide for Hauppauge.

    To answer you question YES

If I type in http://bingftp.com:81 ISPConfig 2 login comes up on both computers.

My other 2 computers 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.7 are on my home network are these considered remote servers?

localhost refers to the same system. If you are working on 192.168.1.2 and use localhost, it will try to fetch the page from 192.168.1.2, not 192.168.1.100.
