Hello all, I am trying to be a good server person and read logs everyday, however it is like pulling teeth. There is so much mundane crap mixed in with anything remotely important. I have seen Falko and Till mention using grep and tail commands. What I would like to know is if there is some app out there that will sort out logs by order of importance or something? I have found one app called multitail that I guess colors important log entries, that's a start. But it would sure be nice if there was some app out there that would make it easy for inexperienced newbs like myself. Preferably something that can run on both Linux and Windows OS's.
