Hi, I recently setup postfix through MySQL on fedora 8 x86_64. I went through the tutorial on how to configure everything for virtual email with postfix and mysql, and I received no errors when setting it up. My question is with logging in to receive and send email. I set up a mail client with my email username (which I created in the mysql database along with my domain) and my password and it can log in to the smtp server and simulate sending an email successfully but it fails on logging into the pop3 server and gives this message: Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): Outlook could not connect to the incoming mail server (POP3). The problem could be your SSL or port settings for the incoming server. I verified I am using port 110 for POP3 (and 25 for SMTP) and I am not using SSL or anything... First of all, does anyone know why I am not able to log onto POP3? I can telnet localhost 25 and telnet localhost 110 and I get the message +OK Hello there. Second, I'm sure there is probably a better email client to use... any suggestions? I am fairly new to linux but have a fair understanding of how things work. Thanks
