    Hi,

I am an noob with linux and I am curntly installing an linux server with ISPConfig the perfect setup way Ubuntu 6.1.

I can do a bit with the console hee, it's very simelar to the dos prompt. But my question is. Is there an commander like file reader for Linux/Ubuntu so I can easely "surf" my dir structure.
That way I can learn the structure more easely and also find files a lot faster.

I had allso webmin installed but thats not working along great with ISPConfig I red somewere on this forum.

Hope this story made any sens??

    TIA DaRKNeSS

I never used it, but 'clex' looks like something that matches your requirement. To install on Debian/Ubuntu
    Code:
    apt-get install clex
Another one that might be interesting is Midnight Commander
    Code:
    apt-get install mc
There are several text mode editors/viewers, so you have to pick your own favorite.

If you have a Windows workstation, you could install WinSCP ( http://winscp.net/ ) and connect to your Linux server and then browse its directories.
