I have spent most of the day failing to install Magento onto ISPConfig 2. Normally I get a 500 error, no matter what I do. Unfortunately, the Magento install instructions are nothing like the quality we are used to here, and they don't help at all. Is it possible to install Magento onto ISPC2 running on a "perfect server" Debian? If so, how?
it is Heloo it is possible, i running it on mandriva server and i must talk little bit with suhosin and php.ini because magneto consume lot of memory more than normal app. See server logs for error you will see more.
Error Logs? Hey madmucho, It should be possible to run Magento on ISPConfig2 and 3. I used to work for a ISP company and they will remain nameless but we had tons of support questions about Magento. Most of the common fixes were with not having the correct extensions enabled or not set correctly for the version of php they were using. The error logs should give up all of the issues as to why it is not working. If you can post the error logs of the site in question I am sure that we can help with your install problem. Should be in /var/www/domain.tld/logs/error.log Something like that.
