Seems as if you run some kind of sndmail, and not postfix, and the senmail server you installed is not able to resolve Ip 127.0.0.2.
I agree. This is why I made a text search for "127.0.0.2" (and found nothing). Code: $ grep -r -l "127.0.0.2" /etc/* grep: /etc/blkid.tab: No such file or directory /etc/network/interfaces Any idea where this could be located?
I must be blind. It is in /etc/network/interfaces: Code: # Auto generated venet0 interface auto venet0 iface venet0 inet manual up ifconfig venet0 up up ifconfig venet0 127.0.0.2 up route add default dev venet0 down route del default dev venet0 down ifconfig venet0 down Is this something that ispconfig does?
This is the etc/hosts file: Code: 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost # Auto-generated hostname. Please do not remove this comment. 192.210.214.129 server1.surf-anonymous.info server1 ::1 localhost.localdomain localhost Where do I add the 127.0.0.2 ? I think this file is also auto generated.
Till I am googling all morning on this issue. You are more experienced. If you could tell me what is the meaning of this "secondary internal" IP address 127.0.0.2 (compared to 127.0.0.1), please tell me. Is it because of the second domain? What does this do?
Please see here for a detailed explanation: http://superuser.com/questions/393700/what-is-127-0-0-2-ip-address-for http://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...ems-and-127-0-0-2-address-802951/#post3942415
I tried this and it worked. Thanks! Code: 127.0.0.2 server1 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost # Auto-generated hostname. Please do not remove this comment. 192.210.214.129 server1.surf-anonymous.info server1 ::1 localhost.localdomain localhost
