As a user now for nearly five months with no previous experience in Linux, let alone, having my own server. I am always reading here and poking around in the server. I had installed squirrel mail, as per instructions from the ISPConfig documentation pages, again, 5 months ago. Today, I was looking at privileges, owners etc. I noted my mail folders were owned by 1000 - the only folders with any such owner. I assumed they would be owned by root. So is 1000 correct? Or do I have a problem?? Night
Mail folders are normally owned by the user of the mail account. they are bever oewned by root except of the mailbox of the root user.
