Hi folks. Having a problem where I'm trying to forward mail from one domain to another. I'm trying to forward; Code: [email protected] to Code: [email protected] But I get the following error when I click OK Code: ERROR There is already a mailbox with this email address I get the same error when trying to to the same above with the Alias options.
May have resolved this myself. Fetch mail seems to be working so I'll just stick with this solution unless someone tells me a reason why it's not good. Thanks for listening, hope this helps someone in the future.
As the message says, there is already a mailbox for [email protected] so you can not add a alias with the same name. Delete the mailbox [email protected] and create a alias for [email protected] instead with target email address [email protected].
till to the rescue again. Done and done, this method seems much more cleaner, I don't know why it didn't occur to me. While I have you perhaps you can shed some light on this. I'm using IMAP on my client to connect to the server, sending and receiving works just peachy but there's never anything in my sent items, why is this? When I was using Google Apps I could access my sent items from the various clients I use.
On your client you probably need to tell it to use the imap sent items folder to store... sent items. For example, iphones behave this way. You set up the imap service on the iphone but sent/trash mails etc don't show in the folders. Go into settings and tell it exactly where to put them.. on your client you might need to tell it to discover the imap folders so it uses the right ones. If you're not convinced, log into squirrel mail and send a mail. As sure as eggs is eggs, it'll show in the sent items that time.
It was that simple after all. Funnily enough I am on iPhone and iPad and I was scratching my head, found the options in Advanced for the mail account. Thank you!
