Hello, The following message shows up in my /var/log/maillog file with different users: ******************************************************* Aug 31 12:22:20 ns2 sendmail[14573]: NOQUEUE: connect from localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1] Aug 31 12:22:20 ns2 sendmail[14573]: ruleset=trust_auth, [email protected], relay=localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1], reject=550 5.7.1 <[email protected]>... not authenticated ******************************************************** The domain "ns2.activa-icard.com" is the name of the server. The user "reti08" is a user of another domain located in the same machine. I added the domain "ns2.activa-icard.com" to the end of the file "/etc/mail/local-host-names but still the same. The user "reti08" on his domain works perfect. Receives and sends mails. Any help will be apreciated. Thank's in advance...Larry.
Is localhost.localdomain listed in the local-host-names file too? Is reti08 a linux system user name?
Yes it is, The following domains are in the file also: localhost localhost.localdomain localhost.localdomain.activa-icard.com ns2.activa-icard.com And yes, the user "reti08" is a linux system user name.
Yes. In the IspConfig Control Panel: Server-->Settings-->EMail MTA Type : Sendmail Virtuser File : /etc/mail/virtusertable Sendmail CW : /etc/mail/local-host-names Mail Log : /var/log/maillog Save Log : Checked Maildir : NOT Checked Antivirus-Admin: admispconfig@localhost Spamfilter : Checked
The messages seem to be generated by the ISPCONFIG software. That's why the domain part is "ns2.activa-icard.com" I don't know if this can be of any help.
