I recently setup two mail server using glusterfs to mirror my content then I added both servers to ISPConfig and set one mail server as a mirror to the other. Everything seemed to be working fine but now Im trying to set up an email account and I can't login to my account. In my email log I keep getting this error Oct 12 06:47:33 smtp imapd-ssl: Connection, ip=[::ffff:xxx.xxx.xxx.x] Oct 12 06:47:34 smtp imapd-ssl: chdir /var/vmail/bitsforbytes.com/mailme: Permission denied username and password are correct. Is this a file permissions issue with using gluterfs maybe?
What user is the owner of the directory /var/vmail/bitsforbytes.com/mailme and what are the directory permissions? Which ISPCOnfig version do you use?
Thats the correct owner and permissions. Did you check this on both servers of the cluster? maybe the vmail user or group has a different ID on the other server?
yeah its the same...All changes in /var/vmail are reflect onto both servers /var/vmail/ is owner root and so is /var/vmail/bitsforbytes.com too. only /var/vmail/bitsforbytes.com/mailme is user vmail
