    Hi,
    when iam trying to receive emails using Thunderbird email client i get this error

    Mail server doesn't support secure authentication

    contents of mail.log
    Jun 15 12:26:48 server1 courierpop3login: Connection, ip=[::ffff:192.168.1.254]
    Jun 15 12:27:09 server1 courierpop3login: Disconnected, ip=[::ffff:192.168.1.254]

    sending emails using SMTP-TLS port 25 is working fine.
    I am able to send and recive mails using outlook express

    How can i fix this?

    Is courier pop3s started and have you opened the port for pop3s in the firewall?

    How do I check if courier POP3s is running?

    I am able to receive mails in Outlooks Express using POP3s on port 995. it's working fine.
    but I am not able to receive emails both on port 110 and 995 when I use ThunderBird

    If you are able to receive mails with outlook express, then it is not a server problem.
