    Hello guys,

i use ISPConfig 3 and postfix and dovecot and a fresh installation of all.

In the mail client i need to put the servername as IMAP and SMTP ( server1.cl-i.net)
But i want that the user can put the domain name as IMAP and SMTP like mydomain.com
Is there a way to achieve that?
(The reason is when i move one webspace to another server, then the user has to change the servername in his email account which is not the best solution.)

    Maybe someone can help?
    thanks a lot in advance.

That's not a good idea, at least when you have many email domains, as you would have to add all email domains to a central SSL certificate (e.g. from Let's encrypt) to avoid SSL errors. Most larger ISP's tell their clients to use the server name of the mail server. And the mail system of a customer is not nescessarily the web server, so if you have more than one server, then it is higly recommended to use an ispconfig multiserver system with dedicated mail and web nodes.
