    Hello All

I just installed (today) Fedora 7 (The perfect server setup w/ dovecot & postfix) and followed it to the T. I can send mesages locally to user accounts, I can send out to the outside world (Via relay thru Roadrunner). My problem comes when I try to send mail from the outside world to my mail server. I have checked all routings and info in my router and my registar company (namecheap.com) and all were fine - I beleive.

When I run a check on dnsreport.com everything is fine but the mailserver test is timing out.

If anyone has a clue I would greatly appreciate it if someone could get me pointed in the write direction.

I think I have my local dns setup right, but I could be wrong.

Here is some of my info:

    Host: ns1.captivatingproductions.net
A record for (mail) that points to my outside world IP number 65.31.126.207
    Local Server IP 192.168.0.10

I use namecheap.com as my registar. I am really unsure how the host info at namecheap should be setup and also how the dns in ISPconfig should be setup. If someone knows both systems could give me a working example to follow, I would also be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Bill

Please ask your access / dsl provider if they block port 25 for incoming SMTP traffic.
