I noticed this in my spam mail: Code: From: "dov dequin" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> There were a bunch of failed mail deliveries that had been sent from my email account. Does this imply access to my mail server? Searching the logs, I don't see any of these addresses in my log files. So someone is just sending mail as me for spam purposes?
No, this just means that a spammer sent spam with your email address as the sender address. This doesn't mean he used your server. It's a weakness of the SMTP protocol - you can set whatever sender address you like...
