Has this website been migrated from another server, e.g. a ispconfig 2 system? In that case it might be that the Maildir has been copied from the other system, as it is owned by the website user and most likely not from ispconfig (the ispconfig mail system runs under the user vmail). You can delete the Maildir folder.
