I have my server set up, and I have my sites set up, and my dns set up for all but one of my subdomains and mx...

The one I'm not sure about is my ftp subdomain.

I've seen cases where ftp.example.com typed into an address bar automatically becomes (effectively) ftp.example.com:21 or ftp://ftp.example.com - or in other words, the subdomain automatically defaults to FTP.

I know that on a windows server it can be achieved by binding it to a port... not that I know anything about it. However, I don't have the first idea about doing it on Linux. I'm running CentOS 5.5 and ISPconfig3 ...

... could anybody offer me information on achieving this please?

Also, is it possible to block ftp from access with any other domain/subdomain?
