Hi, I have installed Mandriva 2007 free edition on one of my PC and every thing went fine except after booting there is no display when entering into run level 5(default). While booting also it was showing GUI screen.I suspect this with monitor configuration.After boot up i can go into run level 3 by booting mode fail-safe. Monitor was configured default monitor with 800*600@60hz resolution with 24 million colours.(i haven' remember extactly the color depth) Later i installed UBUNTU it is booting into GUI mode and every thing is fine. What should i do to work with X in Mandriva. Thanks in advance, venkat
Are there any errors in your logs? Have you tried to press CTRL+ALT+F7 while you were at the login prompt? Do you see the GUI then?
