Manually Create DNS Records

    I have an old server that was running ISPConfig 2, but ISPC is not longer working. It is an Ubuntu server. DNS, web, and mail all seem to be working fine. Can I manually create/modify dns records?

    Yes, you can edit the bind dns configuration files by hand.

    Can I just modify the pri. files in /etc/bind?

    Can I just add a line like this and restart bind:

    "ftp A [IP address]"
