Unfortunately had to do an upgrade to MariaDB 11.8 because of clients needs and this has broke MySQL command line references.
    :/usr/bin# mysql
mysql: Deprecated program name. It will be removed in a future release, use '/usr/bin/mariadb' instead
    :/usr/bin# mysqldump
mysqldump: Deprecated program name. It will be removed in a future release, use '/usr/bin/mariadb-dump' instead

I am unable to do any ispconfig updates, and auto database backups for all sites all have mysqldump failures. Ispconfig seems to function normally however. Can still create and add sites, emails, etc... just cant do any backups or updates.
Have tried restoring the symlinks but all symlinks are valid.
It appears MariaDB has done away with all older previous MySQL commands with no backwards compatibility with previous versions.
Unsure how to proceed at this point. Have tried every work around from verifying symlinks and trying alternatives but all yield the same result that the program name has been deprecated.
MariaDB client compatibility tools are also installed and have been removed and reinstalled with no success.
Going to try a full mariadb-dump of my current databases uninstall and reinstall an older mariadb version, restore the databases and migrate the few customers that need the 11.8 version to a totally new server. Hope this works.

According to your description, the MariaDB root password is wrong. Take a look at the file /usr/local/ispconfig/server/lib/mysql_clientdb.conf and check that the root password in there works. Also ensure that you did not disable networking in MariaDB.

These are just info messages from the commands, they do not break the commands or make them stop working.

I have no clue what is going on right now. Have had this error for over a month now since we updated to 11.8 and nothing I have done in the past month has fixed this issue. As described above I was going to do a full database dump to uninstall and reinstall an older version of MariaDB and restore the dump. Did this using PHPmyadmin using the same account as set in the mysql_clientdb.conf. Got my dump done and started to respond to your reply and wanted to send an actual screenshot of what was happening and all of a sudden commands start working again. I am so confused right now. How did a full dump using phpmyadmin make these commands start working again. ISPconfig just did its first automated site backup in almost 2 months. I am so confused and lost right now. Have not changed or tried anything in a few days and just earlier today was still failing at all named mysql and mysqldump commands saying to use mariadb version instead. i do not know what to say or how this just fixed my problem. ISPconfig was able to be manually updated as well now. I am so mind blown right now. Guess it just needed your response to act right I don't know.
