mdadm configuration? how to send status via email

looking for some help setting up mdadm to send a status update daily, or weekly, and also email an alert if there is a problem. i would like to specify 2 or 3 email addresses also if possible. any help is much appreciated.

System: debian 4.0 ISPConfig 2.2.19 perfect server setup
