    Hi,

I hope you can help me!

    I have Debian, apache 2 and mysql5.

Somewhere along the road I accidently (not paying attention) chmodded the /etc and /var dirs with 777!!!, recursively!!!

is there any script available to put it back?

No, you'd have to do that manually, file by file and directory by directory. You could install another Debian box to compare the permissions.
