    Hello,

A little while back we setup a self-contained server for a client for their website and e-mails. We installed ISPConfig3 on it for managment, and it has been great. We have a multi-server setup for our own virtual client hosting of websites and DNS, and I was wanting to bring this client server into the fold, and am wondering what the best way to do it might be? It has one website and 100+ IMAP mailboxes. I would like it t be seamless as possible for the mail users. I saw that there is a migration tool which would seem to be perfect, but I am not sure if it would have any negative effect on our current multi-server setup. What I am thinking to do is this:

    • Setup a new dedicated server for the client to use and add it to our current multi-server setup
    • Create the necessary settings in the client's "Limits" tab so websites, e-mails, etc. will only get created on their server for them
    • Use the migration tool to migrate everything from their current server to the new one
    • Point the IP of their current server to the new one
As I said, though, I am not sure if that would mess anything up with our current setup, or will it import everything over (hopefully) without issue?

I guess my question(s) just boil down to: is the migration tool intended to migrate to a new, fresh system without anything else on it, or will it work just fine importing into an existing system with sites and DNS already setup on it?

    Thanks! :)

Both works fine with the Migration Tool.
