migration of mails

    Hello everyone.

    I have an old server with FreeBSD and has sentmail mail installed as manager.
    Currently I need to migrate to the new Debian mail server 7 with ISPconfig3, with postfix and dovecot.

    What steps would you take to migrate mail accounts and their respective emails?

    Please refer the thread, this will backup your whole ISPConfig & restore it further.

    In which format are the emails stored? maildir or mbox or seomething different?
