I'm using Debin 12.11 x64 on a cloud server and on prem. I'm attempting to pull down the websites etc from cloudy cloud but when I try to run it ./migrate in migration folder it says must use bash no dash. It is set to bash not dash. Even tried it on the onprem server and got the same thing. This is frustration I don't need. Help!
I have reset the shell numerous times logged out rebooted and even said nice things to them. Still nothing. Verified bash is installed still nothing. Bash works but the script doesn't recognize that.

Here is the screenshot showing bash.

This just shows that you run a program (or more likely symlink) named bash, not that you run the bash shell. If it were bash, you would not get a message that this is not the bash shell.

First, start with posting the exact error message from the Migration Tool that you get, so I can also see which version of the tool you are currently using.

    Then, please run:

    ls -la /bin/bash

To see if it's a symlink and where it points to. Follow the symlinks as this can be a chain of multiple symlinks until you see what the final binary is.

Also, please ensure you use the latest version of the tool. Download instructions are in the migration guide:

Yeah it's the 2.2.2 version of the migration tool. The error is it's not seeing bash as the default. It's thinking that dash is the primary shell. It is not a simlink it's actually sitting there taunting me. Do you have a link to share to download again. It may be corrupt. Thanks.

Then you use an ancient version of the tool released in 2018. The current version of the Migration Tool is 2.2.23.
